F Google, just F them. They are evil scum. The world would be a much better place without Google and their useless, infuriating, crap software for Android file transfers. The world would be a much better place without Google and there useless, infuriating, crap software for Android file transfers. As everyone else says, a total piece of shit. I would also rate this POS a zero if I could as some others have already stated. I can't believe that five years ago I literally had to use this same exact app for the same deplorable functionality and to this day there is nothing better.

That said I am going to install this app, called OpenMTP, that I just found and seems to be getting rave reviews from the other millions of people frustrated that this little company with no resources call Google couldn't find the time to update.

Yet here a guy had to basically rewrite a Kernel for MTP in order to make an app worthwhile. I wish I could rate it 0 stars. Worst application I've ever used. Half the time it can't even open the folders let alone transfer them.

Then when it does, no guarantee all the files even transfer as I always seem to end up with 5 or 6 missing and too many to scroll through to try and find what ones exactly so the whole time spent trying to get the app to work and transfer the files is then wasted. No point in using this. You'd have less stress trying to raise the money to just buy a second phone and second laptop.

This app is not "automated" in any way or wireless, like some paid apps are. Hope our article helped you to choose the best app to transfer data between Mac and Android. On the strength of positive reviews like this one, which rated Commander One as better than the supposedly out-of-date and free Android File Transfer, I bought Commander One - and immediately regretted it.

It failed repeatedly to copy files from my Kindle Fire's SD card to my Mac; each time it would report that one or more files on the card couldn't be copied. I contacted the developer of Commander One, Eltima at eltima. They refused saying only a 'bug' would justify a refund - e. So I would advise against Commander One in particular. As for the other apps reviewed here, I can't say - but given that Android File Transfer is a free, and b works, at least on Mac, I wouldn't be so quick to buy into claims that it is inferior.
